So today Jon was sustained and set apart in his new calling. He is the new Elders Quorum President of our ward. He actually received the call three weeks ago, but between selecting counselors and Stake Conference last week, things weren't ready to proceed until today. He has always been in Young Mens and Primary callings, so this will be new for him, but he has counselors with some experience in the presidency, and there is no better stake president or bishop for him to learn from than the ones we have. I know he will do a great job.
I must now gear up for Thanksgiving dinner at my house. Lots of cleaning to do over the next two days. We're excited to have visitors from both sides of the family coming in to town to celebrate. Then, it's all about Christmas preparations. So much to do, I think I need another list!

Sometimes Thanksgiving to Christmas seems like such a blur...it all flies by so quickly. I'm trying to be well-prepared this year so we can spend more time celebrating than rushing. Oh, those never-ending lists!
Hope all went well with the dinner. Good luck on Christmas prep. Have fun with it and make it beautiful!
Hey I'm tagging you! The rules are on my blog!
