gratitude sundays (an easy baby)

Yesterday Grace turned 1 month old. I can't believe how quickly the last month has flown by. Today I am grateful for what a good baby she has turned out to be. I'm not saying that my other two were not good babies, they just weren't as easy to care for as Gracie has been. I realize that a lot of it probably has to do with the fact that I'm not new at this, I'm more relaxed now than I was the first couple times. One major difference is that Gracie is a good sleeper, meaning that she will sleep for longer than an hour and a half at a time. Even though it doesn't seem like that much during the nighttime, I really enjoy it during the day. She doesn't fuss very much, and when she does she is pretty easily pacified. Even when she is being smothered by her brother and sister, she just goes with the flow. I can't say how much I needed a baby like this! Derrick and Abbie are great kids, but they have been a handful lately. At least one of my children has decided not to give me a hard time!

She is sooo cute! I love her little headband and I am glad that you are able to get more sleep. I never realized just how important sleep was until I went without for so long. She is just lovely.

I feel the exact same way about Henry. Great baby, and couldn't have handled anything less than that.

Gracie is beautiful and she totally looks like her Daddy!

Kimmy, she is beautiful!!! I only have one baby so I don't have much to go by, but Ethan seems the same. Last night he slept 7 hours!

She is a beautiful girl. I always feel calmer with a baby in the house. Somehow these little human bundles help me to Be Still, in & out...I'm missing that right now. I love her serious expressions.

I have to tell you that my first wedding cake is next Friday, and I'm starting to panic a bit. I keep looking back at your pictures with the mantra "you can do this"!

I somehow made 3 comments, then deleted one. In case you were wondering who the deleter was!

What a cutie! I think she looks a lot like Jon though. What a sweetheart to let you get some rest and relax a little. I'm glad that you are happy with the new dynamic and that things seem to be going so well.
